GoNano Frequently Asked Questions
When should I apply GoNano to my roof?

Apply GoNano while your roof is in good condition—ideally in the first 10 years. Early treatment takes full advantage of GoNano’s anti-aging effects. For older roofs (up to ~25 years), GoNano Revive can restore flexibility and significantly extend roof life.

How much does GoNano treatment cost?

Pricing depends on location, roof size, and condition. A general rule: GoNano runs about 15–20% of a full roof replacement cost. depending on the formulation recommended or used the price is between $1.25 - $2.00 per square foot

How long is the warranty?
Expect 10-year coverage for Concrete and Wood Saver, and up to 15 years for Shingle Saver. Warranties vary by surface type and condition and are often transferable upon home sale.

Will it change how my surface looks?
No - GoNano restores and improves the appearance of your surface, preserving colour and texture without altering it.
What happens if it rains shortly after application?
No problem. Once absorbed (about 2 hours), rain has no effect on the coating’s performance.
What is nanotechnology?
Nanotechnology works at the scale of nanometers—each nanoparticle (40–60 nm) is thousands of times smaller than a human hair. The particles penetrate surfaces and strengthen them at the molecular level.
Will a GoNano coating void my roof warranty?
No. GoNano treatments do not void manufacturer warranties. Major shingle brands (IKO, Owens Corning, GAF, etc.) have been legally assessed to confirm this.

Do you fix damage before applying?
Yes. We can perform small repairs—like replacing a loose or broken shingles—before applying the coating.

Which institutions back GoNano products?
The coatings meet UL standards including UL2218 (impact resistance), UL790 (fireproof rating), and ASTM D3161 (wind resistance).

Should I clean or softwash before application?
Soft-wash is recommended only if heavy algae or stains exist. Dirt doesn’t block performance, but cleaning after application won’t remove GoNano and washing ingredients can't weaken it.
What about results over time and reapplication?
The hydrophobic water-beading effect may fade after 5–8 years depending on local conditions. But the coating continues protecting surfaces throughout the full 10–15 year lifespan. Reapplication is optional and not mandatory.

Is one coat enough?
Yes—one coat is effective. A second coat can enhance resistance to hail, wind, water infiltration, and potentially extend lifespan further—but it hasn’t been formally tested yet.
